We're now at 19 weeks, almost halfway done! The pregnancy seems to by flying by- especially now that I like food again. I'm happy to report that I'm gaining weight and now have a definite baby belly. These pictures weren't even taken during my post-dinner bloat, so this is genuine bump :). I'm still waiting for a stranger to ask if I'm pregnant though.
I had my "big" ultrasound this morning. Even though we already knew the sex, this ultrasound was important because they took a lot of measurements and checked out the baby's heart and brain to make sure everything looks normal. I'm happy to report that she is looking and measuring exactly where she is supposed to!
She seems to be happiest curled up in a ball, but she isn't hesitating to kick and flip around a few times a day. I can feel her everyday now, and I think Mike will be able to feel her too if we can just get his hand on my stomach at the right time! I only got a couple of pictures from this ultrasound, but here they are:

Nursery Sneak Peek!
My mom was up last week and we were painting fools. We repainted the office and turned it into the new guest bedroom, and transformed the guest bedroom into the nursery! Well, to be honest she did most of it, but I helped a little :). Dad, Sarah and Kat came up for the weekend too for my birthday and we all had a great time! It was a full house with 6 people and 3 dogs, but I was so happy to have everyone here for my birthday and Easter. And I am in love with the nursery so far!
First off, here is the new guest bedroom:
And here is the nursery! I might do some sort of design in the white stripe, that is still undecided, but I already love the way it looks! Dad and Mike installed the cute chandalier and a dimmer switch so that we can check on the baby without lighting up the whole room. Yay!
The rooms look even better in person than in the pictures. I am planning on ordering furniture, bedding and a glider in the next couple of weeks. Here's a picture of our furniture. I haven't decided on bedding, but I'm pretty sure it'll be black and white. And I am going down to Greenville to pick out my glider, which was one of my birthday gifts from my parents! So everything is coming together and I will of course update with more pictures as things arrive!

Kat took this last picture, which is why it looks
a lot better than the rest, lol. The colors in this pic
are a lot more accurate than the first two (at
least they are on my computer)

It's been a while...
Haven't posted any doggie pictures lately, and Kat took some really good ones while the family was in Raleigh for Easter. So, here's a quick break from your regularly scheduled baby posts.

Update!
I thought I'd go ahead and do an update because I finally feel like a human again! After 2 months of feeling nauseous and 3 weeks of a lung infection/IV's, I finally feel great. I'm ready to eat, gain some weight, and most importantly- shop for baby stuff! So if you haven't heard from me in a while I apologize, but I am finally ready to re-enter the world :).
I will include a couple of belly shots, but as you can see I am still pretty small! I can definitely tell, but I think it's still too risky for strangers to ask if I'm pregnant. I stick it out as far as I can though, especially after a big meal when I really look pregnant, so I'm hopeful that people will start noticing soon! I'll be 17 weeks on Sunday.
The whole family is coming up Easter weekend to celebrate my birthday with me, and I'm ready to put them to work. We are moving the guest room into the office, so my mom and I will be painting that and the nursery, and I'll update with pictures as soon as I can! I'm in the process of picking out cribs/dressers/changing tables and will probably order those soon, so I'm really excited about that. And Mike will be excited to have it ordered too- he just loooves shopping for baby furniture :P.
I think I felt the baby kick for the first time last night. For the past couple of weeks, I've been lying in bed trying to feel something before sleep every night, and I felt something last night that was definitely new. I felt it about 3 times in 10 minutes, it was really cool!
Last but not least, since a lot of people have been asking about names, we are *pretty* sure that her name will be Madeline Grace, and we'll call her Maddie. That's been our favorite name for a while, so unless we hear a name that we like more, that will be it!
GO HEELS!

Drumroll please.....
IT'S A GIRL!
Here are some pics! We got 30 wonderful pictures today, but a lot of them are kind of creepy looking (they look like a melting alien baby) so I tried to put the most normal ones in here!!! It was so cool to see her on screen for 20 minutes. She is little wiggle worm and wouldn't sit still for a second. I'm in for lots of kicks and punches in a few weeks!
